Warsaw robots protest for AI regulation and job protection

On September 7, 2026, approximately 30 humanoid and quadruped robots participated in a symbolic demonstration in Warsaw, Poland, outside the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Organized by the initiative Democratism and Delta Robots, the event aimed to spark public debate regarding the impact of artificial intelligence and robotics on the labor market.

The robots, including the Agibot A3, marched in circles, waved flags, and played pre-recorded slogans through loudspeakers, such as “Defend workplaces” and “Don’t wait, regulate.” Organizer Grzegorz Kuliś emphasized that the demonstration was intended to highlight the risk of human workers being replaced by both physical robots and AI in cognitive roles.

Krzysztof Gawkowski, Poland’s Minister of Digital Affairs, met with organizers at the site. He acknowledged the potential risks of uncontrolled AI models integrated into evolving humanoid robots and noted that Poland is working on a national framework to implement European AI regulations, including the creation of regulatory sandboxes for companies to test AI solutions.
