RoboWorld 2026 to feature educational robot experience zone

The 2026 RoboWorld exhibition, scheduled to take place at KINTEX in Ilsan from November 4 to 7, will feature a dedicated experience zone for educational robots. Participating companies including FunALFun, Joyworks, and Robomation will allow visitors to operate robots and learn the principles of coding and robotic control.

As artificial intelligence expands into various industries, the scope of digital literacy is shifting from simple coding to understanding AI principles and using sensors to solve real-world problems. Educational robots serve as tools for students to gain engineering thinking by experiencing the relationship between software and hardware through physical movement.

The South Korean Ministry of Education is supporting this digital transition by expanding AI-focused education, selecting 1,141 schools as AI priority institutions for 2026. Learning methods are becoming more specialized by age, ranging from block coding for elementary students to Python-based control and autonomous driving simulations for older students.
