Roca City Alcalá awarded for eco-neighborhood transformation

The Comunidad de Madrid has awarded the Roca City Alcalá project the Territorial Management prize as part of its first Environment Awards. The project aims to transform the former Roca factory site into a new eco-neighborhood.

This urban redevelopment project will convert the historic industrial land into a residential area featuring more than 2,500 homes, with over 650 units subject to protection regimes. Beyond housing, the development is designed to integrate green zones and various community facilities into the urban fabric, reclaiming industrial space for sustainable residential use.

The awards, which recognize initiatives and entities contributing to environmental protection, will be presented on October 20 at the Real Casa de Correos.
