Roccagorga faces severe water crisis and infrastructure failures

The municipality of Roccagorga is facing a severe water crisis, with residents experiencing significant pressure drops and service interruptions for eight days. Mayor Carla Amici has filed a formal complaint following the failure of the water provider, Acqualatina, to resolve the issue.

Acqualatina reported that they are searching for hidden leaks that prevent the maintenance of water levels in the Via XXVIII Maggio reservoir. While the company has provided water tankers as a substitute service, the Mayor noted that even the supply from these tankers has become unreliable.

In response to the situation, a technical meeting has been convened at the Prefecture. Regional Councilor Salvatore La Penna has announced plans to submit a motion to the Regional Council to request support for necessary infrastructure interventions in the area.
