Roccamonfina councilman's garage destroyed by fire

A short circuit triggered a significant fire in a garage adjacent to the home of Roccamonfina councilman Beniamino Martino in Garofali. The incident, preceded by a loud bang, destroyed agricultural tools, woodworking equipment, and ironworking utensils.

The flames also reached the upper floor of the residence, causing damage to the roof, window frames, and balconies. While the house was enveloped in thick black smoke, a metal door prevented the fire from entering the living quarters where Martino's wife and son were present.

Firefighters from Teano responded to the scene and successfully contained the blaze. No injuries were reported, and the councilman's tractor was fortunately not parked in the garage at the time. Preliminary estimates place the economic damage at approximately 30,000 euros. Local political groups from both the majority and opposition have expressed solidarity with the Martino family.
