Roccapina: Sailboat strikes reefs causing diesel leak

A sailboat struck reefs in the Roccapina bay, resulting in significant damage including a large leak, a partially torn central keel, and a punctured fuel tank. The incident caused several dozen liters of diesel to spill into the water.

Rescue operations were coordinated by CROSS Méditerranée, involving the patrol vessel SNS 731 Sartène and the ocean rescue ship SNS 17-07 Cyrnos. Divers worked to seal the leak and stabilize the vessel to prevent it from sinking. After being stabilized and pumped out, the sailboat was towed to Propriano, arriving around 8:00 PM.
