Roccella Fitwalking event unveiled in Italian Senate

Senator Giusy Versace, a Paralympic athlete, presented the 14th edition of the Roccella Fitwalking – Walk for the Cure in the Senate’s Sala Nassirya. The week‑long event, organized by ASD Calabria Fitwalking, will take place in Roccella Ionica, Calabria from 9 to 16 August 2026 and aims to promote health, active tourism and cancer prevention.

The initiative, supported by Komen Italia’s Walk for the Cure, is set to attract thousands of participants and raise funds for breast‑cancer research. Speakers at the press conference included Senators Clotilde Minasi and Eulalia Micheli, as well as representatives of the ASD and local health authorities, highlighting the role of walking in combating sedentary lifestyles and fostering community well‑being.
