Rocco Becht named to Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list

Penn State quarterback Rocco Becht has been named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top upperclassman quarterback, recognizing on-field excellence alongside leadership, character, and academic achievement.

Becht, a transfer from Iowa State, enters the season with significant experience. During his tenure with the Cyclones, he recorded 26 victories and established several school records, including ranking second in passing touchdowns (64) and third in both passing yards (9,274) and total offense (9,773).

This recognition follows Becht's recent inclusion on the Maxwell Award watchlist. The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award will announce its semifinalists and finalists throughout the season, with the winner to be crowned on December 9.
