Roche reports 718 million euro investment impact in Italy

Roche has released the second edition of its Impact Study in Italy, conducted with methodological support from PwC Italia. The report highlights that for every euro of direct value added generated by Roche in Italy, there is a total impact of 2.8 euros on the national GDP.

Amy VanBuskirk, General Manager of Roche Pharma in Italy, stated that the company's investment reaches 718 million euros. The study also identifies an employment multiplier, noting that for every direct employee, 3.2 jobs are supported throughout the supply chain and related industries. Additionally, every euro invested in sponsored clinical studies is estimated to save the National Health Service 2.82 euros.

During an institutional meeting in Rome, Roche also received two recognitions: the Bollino Cnel for participatory good practices and the 2026 Gender Equality Award from Assolombarda. The company reported that 54% of its direct workforce is female and noted the absence of a gender pay gap.
