Rochester announces seasonal closing dates for pools and beaches

The City of Rochester has announced the upcoming seasonal closing dates for various aquatic facilities. The Silver Lake Pool is scheduled to close on August 16, 2026, while the Soldiers Field Aquatic Center will close on August 23.

Local beaches, including Cascade Lake Beach and Foster Arend Beach, along with several splash pads such as Silver Lake, Lincolnshire, and McQuillan, will remain open through Labor Day.

In addition to these closures, Southeast Minnesota features several community events. Plainview will host the 56th Annual Corn on the Cob Days, featuring live music, a parade, and free sweet corn. The Rochester Memorial Run will also take place to honor the memory of Lance Pfrimmer.
