Rochester concludes summer series of community festivals and events

Rochester, New York, recently concluded several summer community events, including the final session of the Thursdays Downtown festival. The weekly celebration, which began in 2004, saw a record attendance of more than 90,000 people this year. Local business owners noted that the event provides critical support for small businesses, particularly as ongoing construction in the area has created economic challenges for downtown vendors.

Other regional activities included the conclusion of the Bands on the Bricks concert series and the Party in the Park music lineup. Additionally, the Rochester Community Action Day was held at Parcel 5, organized by Action for a Better Community. The event connected residents with essential services such as healthcare, housing, and financial resources, and was recognized with a proclamation from Monroe County and the city.
