Rochester man charged after methamphetamine and firearm seizure

Clarence Antonia Washington, 47, has been formally arraigned in Rochester, Minnesota, following a drug investigation. Police executed search warrants at a residence and on Washington’s vehicle, discovering 345 grams of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, digital scales, unused Ziploc bags, and $1,350 in cash.

Following a traffic stop on Highway 52 near Chatfield, investigators also recovered a .45-caliber handgun and more than $2,600 in cash from Washington’s vehicle. Washington faces charges of first-degree drug sale, possession, and illegal possession of a firearm, as court documents indicate he is ineligible to possess weapons due to a previous criminal sexual conduct conviction. His conditional bail is set at $100,000.
