Poland celebrates traditional harvest festivals across multiple regions
Various regions across Poland are celebrating harvest festivals, known as Dożynki, through early September 2026. These traditional events involve religious services, parades, and community gatherings to honor agricultural labor and local traditions.
In the Wielkopolska region, several celebrations took place, including the 15th District-Communal Harvest Festival in Rościszewo and festivities in Chorzymin and Donaborów. The Wielkopolska Chamber of Agriculture also marked its 30th anniversary in Noweczko. Other local celebrations were held in Morawica, Skórcz, and various villages such as Borucin, Gamów, Krzanowice, Pietrowice Wielkie, Samborowice, and Tworków.
In the Mazovian Voivodeship, the community in Czarna prepared for its municipal harvest festival, featuring traditional rites and musical performances. These events typically include processions, the presentation of harvest wreaths, and local folk performances to integrate the community and celebrate the season's yields.
