Rock am Ring and Rock im Park face rising costs and weather challenges
Matt Schwarz, managing director of PRK Dreamhaus, has identified rising costs and weather extremes as the primary challenges facing the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals.
Schwarz noted that the cost of booking international top acts has increased significantly, partly because major artists are increasingly focusing on their own stadium and arena tours. Despite these financial pressures, organizers aim to maintain investments in production, infrastructure, and service to ensure a fair value for attendees.
In response to previous feedback, the organizers are analyzing visitor flows and sanitary facility usage to address congestion issues. Additionally, the festivals are implementing weather monitoring and safety concepts to prepare for increasingly extreme weather conditions.
