Rock & Dão festival debuts in Viseu with Mika and UB40
The inaugural Rock & Dão festival took place on September 18 and 19, 2026, at the Parque Urbano de Santiago in Viseu, Portugal. The event combined music with the local Dão wine region to celebrate the end of the summer season.
The first day featured performances by Portuguese artists including Pontos Negros, Cassete Pirata, and David Bruno. The headline act was British-Lebanese musician Mika, who performed his first concert in Portugal in ten years, marking the conclusion of his two-and-a-half-year tour.
The second day focused on a journey through 1990s Portuguese music with sets by Ganso, Samuel Úria, and Delfins. The festival concluded with UB40 featuring Alec Campbell, performing reggae and 1980s pop rhythms. The second edition of the festival is already scheduled for September 17 and 18, 2027, with Capitão Fausto announced as a performer.
