Rock festivals announced in Brazil and Portugal highlight independent music scenes

The first Circuito Autoral Rock Festival will be held on July 11 in Taquara, Brazil, at the Vibe Gastro Pub. Organized by local musicians, the day‑long event features performances by Kiko Sousa & O Bando, Estação do Tempo, Edhys & Banda, Los Bandalhas and Puta Madre, alongside a market with food, vintage cars, flash tattoos and a variety fair.

In Portugal, the inaugural Rock & Dão festival is scheduled for September 18‑19 in Viseu's Parque de Santiago. Headliners include international acts Mika and UB40, while Portuguese performers such as David Bruno, Delfins, Samuel Úria, Cassete Pirata, Ganso and Os Pontos Negros round out the line‑up. The festival blends live music with regional gastronomy and promotes the wines of the Dão wine region, aiming to position Viseu as a cultural destination.
