Cultural festivals and pageants scheduled across Spain and Mexico

Various cultural and musical events are taking place across Spain and Mexico. In Arcos de Valdevez, the Absurda Art Fest returns on August 28-29, featuring independent music, visual arts, and ecological activities along the Vez River.

In Spain, the Rock & Grill Festival in Barcelona features Metallica and Motörhead tributes, while the Leyendas del Rock festival in Alicante has seen high attendance. Other regional events include the Valdorrock festival in Burgos and a hard rock performance by Armando de Castro in Gasteiz.

In Mexico, the city of Veracruz is hosting several major events. The “Vive Jarocho 2026” festival will take place on August 29 in the Historic Center, offering free rock music performances. Additionally, the Miss Earth México 2026/2027 national concentration is underway in Veracruz, with semifinals held in Alvarado, Las Choapas, and Soledad de Doblado, leading up to a grand final on August 30.
