Rockefeller Center to host immersive ‘Elf Experience’ in 2026

An immersive attraction titled ‘The Elf Experience’ is scheduled to open at Rockefeller Center in New York City on November 14, 2026. Based on the 2003 Christmas comedy starring Will Ferrell, the project aims to bring the world of Buddy the Elf to life through handcrafted environments.

Developed by Fairview Portals and filmmaker Jon Favreau, the experience will utilize animatronics, miniatures, forced perspective, and zoetropes. Guests will navigate themed locations including the Candy Cane Forest, the Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops, and Santa’s Toy Workshop, eventually traveling from the North Pole to New York City.

In addition to interactive activities and photo opportunities, the attraction will offer exclusive merchandise such as apparel, toys, and treats. Tickets are available online, with prices starting at $45 for adults and $35 for children.
