Rocket Lab secures US Space Force contracts amid stock volatility

Rocket Lab is experiencing a divergence between its operational growth and stock performance. While the company's share price has declined significantly—trading approximately 58% below its all-time high and recently testing support levels between $63.83 and $66.74—it has secured substantial new contracts from the US Space Force.

Recent government wins include a $90 million contract from the Space Systems Command to build and operate two geostationary satellites for space domain awareness. Additionally, Rocket Lab was added to the NITE-STAR framework agreement, which has a potential volume of up to $981 million, alongside smaller orders from the Space Data Network Consortium.

Despite these developments, the stock faces pressure from external regulatory challenges. SpaceX has filed a formal complaint with the FCC regarding Iridium Communications, a move that is impacting market perception surrounding Rocket Lab's potential involvement in the Iridium deal.
