Rockford IceHogs defeat Milwaukee Admirals 3-2 in preseason

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 3-2 to the Rockford IceHogs during a preseason game at Panther Arena on Saturday night.

John Farinacci opened the scoring for Milwaukee with a shorthanded goal in the first period, rebounding his own shot past goaltender Stanislav Berezhnoy. After Tommy Budnick tied the game for Rockford in the second period, John Prokop regained the lead for the Admirals with a one-timer assisted by Aiden Fink.

However, the IceHogs scored two unanswered goals late in the second and early in the third period via Jamie Engelbert and Ashton Cumby to secure the victory. The Admirals are scheduled to play their preseason finale in Rockford on Monday before beginning their regular season against the IceHogs on October 3. The team's home opener will take place on October 10 against the Grand Rapids Griffins.
