Rockin’on Sonic 2027 music festival announced for Tokyo
Rockin’on Japan has announced the third edition of its Western music festival, rockion’on sonic 2027, scheduled for January 9 and 10, 2027, at SGC Hall Ariake in Tokyo.
Producer Yoichiro Yamazaki noted that the festival is shifting from a 20,000-capacity venue to a 5,000-capacity hall to ensure financial sustainability following previous losses. The new venue, SGC Hall Ariake, features permanent immersive audio technology.
The lineup for January 9 includes Bloc Party, Dinosaur Jr., Kim Gordon, and Violet Grohl. The January 10 lineup features Suede, Pale Waves, Kula Shaker, and Dove Ellis. General ticket sales are set to begin on October 10, 2026.
