Rockstar Games announces official NoPixel V roleplay server

Rockstar Games has officially announced NoPixel V, the next generation of the popular Grand Theft Auto V roleplay (RP) server. Following the company’s acquisition of the FiveM modding team, this partnership integrates the community-driven RP experience directly into the Rockstar ecosystem.

A closed beta is scheduled to begin on September 8, 2026, accessible exclusively to invited players via the Rockstar Games Launcher. The update promises significant overhaul of the Los Santos experience, including a redesigned character customization system, more reactive NPCs, and expanded city locations such as the new Pixel Hotel & Casino and a renovated Cypress Flats.

In addition to gameplay improvements, Rockstar is engaging the streaming community through Twitch Drops. Between September 8 and September 30, 2026, viewers watching specific GTA RP streams can earn in-game rewards, including up to 1.5 million GTA dollars and cosmetic items. While this move strengthens the existing GTA V ecosystem, Rockstar has not provided details regarding the online component of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI.
