Rockstar Games criticised for GTA Online tunnel shutters, mission removal

Rockstar Games added shutters to several tunnels in Los Santos that players have long used to evade police after completing heists in GTA Online. The change, introduced with the Kortz Center Heist DLC, forces players to find alternative escape routes and has been condemned on social media as an unnecessary nerf to heist gameplay.

In a separate update, Rockstar removed the long‑standing Los Santos Connection contact mission after a glitch allowed players to earn thousands of dollars by standing on a respawning money bag, effectively enabling AFK cash farming. The mission, which paid between $20,400 and $26,000, was taken offline rather than the bug being fixed, prompting further criticism from the community.
