Rockstar Games' GTA 6 Reveals Vice City Setting and New Gameplay Features
Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a PC version to follow later. The game returns to a modernized version of Vice City – a fictionalized Miami – set in the new state of Leonida, featuring expanded interiors, a larger map with up to 70 % of buildings accessible, extreme weather, and native wildlife such as alligators.
For the first time the series will focus on a criminal couple, Jason and Lucia, whose relationship mechanics affect confidence, heist outcomes and story branches. New systems include a “Dead Eye” style targeting ability for Jason, complementary powers for Lucia, an in‑game social‑media network that spreads viral crime videos, deeper load‑out management, weight‑and‑muscle tracking, and a wider range of side activities like tennis, hunting, fishing and diving. Interviews note that Miami’s mix of glamour and underworld, as well as its cultural diversity, inspired the setting.
