Grand Theft Auto VI details reveal dense world and mature content

New details regarding Grand Theft Auto VI have emerged through developer insights and international age rating disclosures. Rockstar Games is designing the game's open world, set in Leonida, to be exceptionally dense and reactive. Developers aim to move away from static backgrounds, ensuring that even seemingly minor environmental details and NPC interactions contribute to a living, breathing atmosphere.

Age rating boards, including the ESRB in North America and PEGI in Europe, have released descriptions that highlight the game's mature content. These disclosures confirm explicit themes including graphic violence, such as decapitations and dismemberment, as well as sexual content and frequent drug use, specifically mentioning cocaine. In Australia, the game received an R18+ rating, with the Australian Classification Board assigning a maximum sexual impact level of 5.

Technical and gameplay details also suggest a significantly larger map than GTA V, featuring dynamic weather systems like hurricanes and tropical storms. Additionally, a Spotify leak briefly indicated that artists such as Cardi B and Fuerza Regida may be featured on the game's soundtrack. To celebrate the upcoming release, the Miami Heat will host a 'Night in Vice City' event on November 18.
