Rockstar North observed by obsessive GTA 6 fan in Scotland

A Reddit user known as “Then‑Pomegranate‑625” spent a week monitoring Rockstar North’s headquarters in Scotland, attempting to glean clues about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. The fan installed acoustic equipment around the studio, measured interior sound levels and oxygen consumption, and recorded the flow of vehicles in the parking area. He reported unusually high oxygen usage on Saturday 6 June and counted 71 cigarette butts outside the building over 19 hours, interpreting the data as signs of intensified development activity.

The fan posted his observations online, noting, “Why not just install a listening device?” and prompting discussion within the gaming community about the lengths fans will go to predict release dates. While the methods were described as extreme and bordering on a prank, the user claimed he was not breaking any laws.
