Rockstar Games launches Kortz Center Heist update for GTA Online

Rockstar Games released a major update for GTA Online titled “The Kortz Center Heist” on 14 July 2024, the first large‑scale robbery mission since the 2020 Perico Island heist. The DLC adds a new art‑theft scenario set in a museum, requiring players to establish an art studio in their mansion, scout the location, and steal rotating high‑value paintings. It supports solo play or teams of up to four, introduces new vehicles and upgrades, and offers players the choice to sell or display stolen artwork. The update was made available early as a download, allowing players to pre‑load files before activation, which reduces server load at launch. Analysts note the early rollout mirrors broader live‑service trends. Rockstar also hinted that mechanics from the heist, such as free‑roam interiors and flexible loot handling, may preview features planned for the upcoming GTA VI.
