Rockstar's GTA 6 Physical Release Delayed, Prices Set for Brazil

Rockstar Games confirmed that the physical copies of GTA 6 will not be available on the global launch date of 19 November. Buyers who pre‑order a disc will receive only a download code on launch day, with the actual retail discs slated to arrive weeks later. In Brazil, the Standard Edition is priced at R$ 418.40 for a one‑time payment (or R$ 449.90 in up to eight installments), while the Ultimate Edition costs R$ 549.90. Both digital and physical options are offered through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Amazon Brazil, and the game will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Analysts have raised concerns about the pricing model, noting that the high cost of the Ultimate edition and the shift to a code‑only “physical” product could set new industry precedents. Additionally, Digital Foundry has cast doubt on claims that GTA 6 will run at 60 fps on current‑generation consoles, suggesting that a performance mode at 40 fps is more realistic given the game's visual complexity.
