Rockwell Automation and Fortinet expand industrial cybersecurity services

Industrial cybersecurity has become a primary external business risk as the interconnection of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments expands the attack surface for cybercriminals. A survey by Fortinet involving over 700 professionals indicates that while industrial cybersecurity maturity is increasing, 71% of industrial companies detected intrusions in 2026. Key challenges remain, including visibility gaps, ransomware threats, and increasing regulatory pressure.

In response to these rising threats, Rockwell Automation has introduced two new additions to its SecureOT™ industrial cybersecurity portfolio. These include managed infrastructure services and managed firewall services in collaboration with Fortinet. The new services are designed to provide 24-hour monitoring and management of digital and physical infrastructure, allowing manufacturers to protect OT environments using Fortinet’s FortiGate firewalls to improve resilience and minimize downtime.
