Rockwell Automation sees growth from reshoring and adopts AI for cybersecurity
Rockwell Automation is experiencing increased demand driven by North American reshoring initiatives and significant growth in the automotive sector. During the Morgan Stanley Annual Laguna Conference, executives noted that manufacturing investments are accelerating as companies seek to integrate supply chains across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Beyond automotive, the company reported surging demand from the e-commerce and data center sectors. Automation is also being utilized as a strategic response to skilled labor shortages, helping manufacturers maintain production efficiency through plant modernization.
To address the security risks associated with increased digital connectivity in factories, Rockwell Automation has partnered with Anthropic through Project Glasswing. The company will utilize Anthropic’s Claude AI models to enhance its industrial cybersecurity defenses. This initiative aims to accelerate the discovery, validation, and remediation of software vulnerabilities within critical industrial infrastructure and connected production systems.
