Roco Kingdom mobile game reaches top charts in China

Roco Kingdom, a mobile game developed by Tencent’s Morefun Studios, has become a major success in China. Following its release in March, the game reached the top of the mobile charts and attracted 15 million players on its first day, making it the most popular mobile game of 2026 in the country so far.

The title is based on a 16-year-old franchise that includes films, books, and an animated series. The game features a cartoon world called Carosia where players collect and train over 400 creatures known as Jinies. The gameplay combines single-player JRPG elements with social hubs and multiplayer activities, utilizing a turn-based combat system.

Developed over six years, the game emphasizes ecosystem simulation, where different biomes influence the behavior and habitats of the Jinies. A closed beta is scheduled to begin on October 27.
