Rod Pallant: Remembering a British drag racing icon

The British drag racing community is remembering Rod Pallant, a prominent figure in the sport known for his memorable character and high-performance machinery.

Pallant’s racing career included operating a Harley-Davidson dealership and competing with various notable bikes, including a twin-engined Kawasaki known as ‘LA Hooker’ and a V8 Rover-powered machine named ‘Heavy Metal’. His 2400cc double-engined Kawasaki was a significant crowd favorite in the early 1980s, achieving impressive speeds on the track.
