Rod Stewart postpones US concerts due to medical procedure

Rod Stewart, the 81-year-old British singer, has postponed multiple dates on his ‘One Last Time’ tour due to health concerns. A concert scheduled for August 9 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, was cancelled at the last minute following an ‘unforeseen but minor medical procedure’ that required prompt attention.

Following the Cincinnati postponement, a scheduled performance at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 11 was also cancelled. Representatives stated that doctors advised Stewart to rest for at least 48 hours following a period of monitoring. While the Cincinnati show will be rescheduled and original tickets honored, fans attending the Cleveland event are expected to receive refunds.

This series of cancellations follows several recent health incidents for the singer, including a June performance in Utah where he required supplemental oxygen after appearing unwell, and a cancelled show in San Diego due to a respiratory infection. Stewart has previously indicated that his current tour may mark the end of his large-scale global touring career.
