Rod Stewart raises $1.7 million for Stevie Van Zandt’s TeachRock nonprofit

Rock singer Rod Stewart headlined a charity concert in Southhampton, New York, performing for more than 200 guests at the home of philanthropists Bob and Lauren Day Roberts. The event raised over $1.7 million for TeachRock, the national education non‑profit founded by E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt to bring arts‑integrated curriculum into U.S. classrooms. Stewart and Van Zandt collaborated on the songs “We’re Having a Party” and “Stay With Me.”

TeachRock’s curriculum is already used by more than 80,000 educators across all 50 states, providing free arts education to support core subjects. Following the fundraiser, Stewart is set to begin a North American tour, with the first stop in Wantagh, New York.
