Rod Stewart reports feeling “brilliant” following heart procedure
British singer Rod Stewart, 81, has reported feeling “f–king brilliant” two months after undergoing a coronary stent procedure in August. The singer shared his positive recovery status during a charity event at London’s Aldwych Theatre on October 15.
The medical intervention followed health complications earlier this year, including an incident in June where Stewart required oxygen and nearly fainted during a performance in Utah. His wife, Penny Lancaster, noted that the heart blockage was previously unknown during those earlier respiratory issues.
While Stewart canceled his remaining 2026 performances to focus on his health, he has announced “The Final Encore Tour” scheduled for 2027. The tour, which he described as his last in rock, will include dates across the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and various European countries.
