Rodalies R4 line disruption between Vilafranca and L'Hospitalet

A technical failure in the railway infrastructure caused a significant disruption to the Rodalies R4 line in the Barcelona metropolitan area on Tuesday morning. The incident forced an emergency suspension of train services on the section between Vilafranca del Penedès and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat starting around 10:30 hours.

To mitigate the impact, Renfe and Adif activated a special replacement bus service to connect the affected stations. While partial service resumed between Vilafranca del Penedès and Martorell around 11:15 hours, authorities warned of continued delays and prolonged travel times due to temporary speed restrictions on the line.
