Rodenbach amateur radio club named Hessen Vice-Champions 2026

Amateur radio enthusiasts from Rodenbach secured second place in the Hessen-Kontest, earning the title of Hessen Vice-Champions for 2026. Despite having only 26 members, the local association placed second out of 43 participating regional associations across the state of Hessen.

In the individual category, club member Matthias Kaufmann (call sign DL8DAU) also achieved a second-place finish. The competition, which requires participants to establish as many radio contacts as possible within a set timeframe, was dominated by clubs from the Main-Kinzig-Kreis, with Wächtersbach taking first place. Club chairman Jürgen Trageser presented the certificate during a recent meeting.
