Roderick Moore named President and CEO of America for Bulgaria Foundation

Roderick Moore has assumed the role of President and CEO of the America for Bulgaria Foundation, effective October 1. Moore, a former career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, succeeds Nancy Schiller, who is retiring after more than a decade as president.

Moore has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2019. He previously served as the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro and held leadership roles in the U.S. diplomatic missions in Belgrade and Sofia. Following her retirement from the presidency, Schiller will remain a member of the Board.

The Foundation stated that its mission and operational methods remain unchanged. Under Schiller’s leadership, the organization has supported over 1,500 projects in Bulgaria, including cultural heritage sites, scientific centers, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
