Roderick Noel McKenzie Genier passes away in British Columbia

Roderick Noel McKenzie Genier passed away on September 5, 2026, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, at the age of 83. Born in Vernon, BC, he was raised on a dairy farm in Lumby.

A scholar in science and mathematics, Genier graduated as valedictorian of his high school class in 1961. He later became a chartered accountant, a career that took him internationally, including a role as Vice President of DHL in Bahrain.

Genier was known for his interest in strategic board games, athletics such as hockey and skiing, and his commitment to helping businesses improve through analytical planning. He is survived by his sister, Mern, and several nieces and nephews.
