Rodinei joins Santos after departure from Olympiacos

Brazilian defender Rodinei has joined Santos following his departure from the Greek club Olympiacos. After spending three and a half years in Greece, the experienced right-back expressed that while he was happy in the country, returning to Brazil was the best decision for him.

Rodinei noted that the transfer process happened very quickly, initiated by a phone call from Alecsandro Matos. He admitted the decision was difficult, particularly regarding the impact on his daughters, but stated he wanted to feel the warmth of Brazilian football and its fans once again.

Looking ahead, Rodinei expressed his desire to play an attacking style of football with Santos and mentioned the club's ambitions in the Copa Sudamericana. He emphasized the need for humility as the team progresses through the tournament.
