Rodolfo Valentín Santos elected Vice President of AIDEF

Rodolfo Valentín Santos, the national director of the Office of Public Defense (ONDP) of the Dominican Republic, has been elected Vice President of the Inter-American Association of Public Defender's Offices (AIDEF). The election took place by majority vote during the AIDEF General Assembly held in Recife, Brazil.

Valentín Santos previously served as the coordinator of public defender offices for the Caribbean region. In his new role as Vice President, he will join the Executive Committee, assist the president, and participate in the coordination of regional initiatives regarding access to justice, the right to defense, and the protection of fundamental rights.
