The Argentine pair, Julio Alsogaray and Malena Sciarra, took the silver medal, while the Spanish team of Alfredo González and Cristian Sánchez earned the bronze after a decisive victory in the final heat.

In cycling, the road race at the World Championships in Montreal is set to be highly competitive following the absence of defending champion Tadej Pogacar, who is sidelined due to a clavicle injury. The race features a challenging 273-kilometer circuit with significant elevation gain. Top contenders expected to influence the outcome include Remco Evenepoel, Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert, and Tom Pidcock, alongside rising talents such as Isaac del Toro and Paul Seixas.
