Rodrigo Alanís and Marthin Saavedra secure national sports titles

In separate national sporting achievements, Rodrigo Alanís and Marthin Saavedra secured major titles in Argentina and Chile, respectively.

In Argentina, Rodrigo Alanís was crowned the U18 National Champion in the 2000-meter steeplechase during a competition held in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe. Alanís, who trains at the Municipal Athletics School with support from local high-performance programs, now faces the possibility of joining the Argentine National Athletics Team, pending official evaluation of his times and statistics.

Marthin Saavedra, a swimmer from Talca, Chile, secured his third consecutive national para-swimming championship at the National Para-swimming competition in Santiago. Saavedra won gold in four individual events: 100 meters butterfly, 100 meters freestyle, 50 meters freestyle, and 100 meters backstroke, while also earning a silver medal in the 100 meters backstroke and participating in a 4x100 meters medley relay.
