Rodrigo Bocardi criticizes SBT and faces repudiation from Band

Journalist Rodrigo Bocardi has publicly criticized SBT following his departure from the network, describing the situation as a “destruction of reputation.” Bocardi denies accusations made by Jones Donizette, the former Secretary of Technology and Communication of Embu das Artes, who alleged that Bocardi pressured municipalities to avoid criticism on his programs. Bocardi claims the accusations are based on an edited audio recording and maintains he has evidence to refute them.

Bocardi also criticized SBT for suspending him based on social media reports and raised questions regarding Banco Master and former Communications Minister Fábio Faria. He suggested the controversy might be serving as a “backdrop” to obscure issues related to the bank and former banker Daniel Vorcaro.

In a separate development, the network Band issued an official statement repudiating Bocardi’s conduct during his appearance on the program ‘Melhor da Tarde.’ Band stated that Bocardi was instructed to discuss only his departure from SBT but instead used the platform to address inappropriate subjects. The network emphasized that he breached a prior agreement regarding the focus of the interview.
