Rodrigo Forgiarini wins Profissão Repórter journalism competition

Rodrigo Osorio Forgiarini, a journalism student from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), has been named the winner of the “Profissão Repórter Procura” competition. The announcement was made during a live broadcast of the program Fantástico on TV Globo.

The national selection process involved nearly 700 journalism students from across Brazil. The competition consisted of five practical and eliminatory stages designed to test journalistic skills and improvisation, concluding with environmental coverage in Rio de Janeiro. As the winner, Forgiarini has secured a professional contract to serve as a new correspondent for the Profissão Repórter team, led by veteran journalist Caco Barcellos.
