Rodrigo Quinteros breaks with Alfredo Olmedo in Salta

Rodrigo Quinteros, a councilman in Salta, has announced a formal political break from the faction led by Alfredo Olmedo within the La Libertad Avanza party. Quinteros stated on social media that he is terminating “any link or relationship with Olmedism.”

The rupture follows public statements made by Olmedo, in which he claimed a central role in building the party in Salta and asserted that he was responsible for bringing President Javier Milei to the province. Quinteros criticized Olmedo’s attitude, accusing him of “subestimating the people of Salta” and acting as if he were “above everyone,” including President Milei.

Quinteros further questioned Olmedo’s connection to the region, alleging that Olmedo has not lived in the province for years and lacks understanding of local issues. He characterized Olmedo’s behavior as “arrogance” and a sign of personal deficiencies.
