Rodrigo Zalazar doubtful for Champions League match against Lens

Sporting CP midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar is a doubt for the upcoming Champions League match against Lens following an injury sustained during a 3-1 victory over SC Braga. The Uruguayan international, who was decisive in the win by contributing to an own goal and scoring the third goal in the 81st minute, left the pitch in the 84th minute complaining of discomfort in his left thigh.

Zalazar participated in recovery work at the gym on Saturday alongside other starters, but he must undergo further evaluation by the club's medical department. Sporting coach Rui Borges expressed skepticism regarding the player's availability for the trip to France, stating, “I believe that no matter how minimal the discomfort, he won't be able to play against Lens.”
