Roelofarendsveen hosts Veense Feestweek community events

Roelofarendsveen and Oude Wetering recently hosted the Veense Feestweek, a series of community events. The festivities included the Oranjefeesten, which featured a communal meal at Eetcafé Punt attended by 95 participants, including Alderman Moniek van Sandick.

Other activities included a Frisdance event for children, the Kermismarathon in the Botenbuurt area of Oude Wetering—which saw 115 teams and 10 individual runners participate under a VeenOlympics theme—and the 25th annual Uitkaik street theater festival. The week concluded with a stepping event through various venues in Roelofarendsveen.
