Mexico's under‑20 national team defeated Panama 4–0 in the quarter‑final of the CONCACAF U‑20 Championship at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla. The goals were scored by Juan Echilvestre (33'), Hugo Camberos from the penalty rebound (57'), Yohan Orozco (76') and Diego Ramírez (88'). Panama goalkeeper Alberto Ruiz struggled, and defender Gino Sasso was sent off late in the match.

The victory guarantees Mexico a place at the 2027 FIFA U‑20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. It also moves the team into the semi‑final against Canada, where the winner will claim the sole regional Olympic berth for the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Mexico entered the tournament unbeaten, topping Group B with nine points and a perfect defensive record. Senior team coach Rafael Márquez watched the match from the stands.
