Roger Federer inducted into International Tennis Hall of Fame

Roger Federer was officially inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame during an emotional ceremony in Newport, Rhode Island. The 45-year-old Swiss legend, who retired in 2022, was introduced by his wife, Mirka, who highlighted his character as a father and friend beyond his professional achievements.

During his speech, Federer expressed that the induction was ‘one of the greatest honors of my life.’ He reflected on his career with humor, noting that he wore more than 5,000 headbands and 7,000 pairs of socks during his time on the ATP tour. He also paid tribute to his family, coaches, and the fans who supported him throughout his journey.

Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, was inducted alongside commentator and former player Mary Carillo. The event was attended by various tennis icons and celebrated the enduring legacy of one of the sport's most decorated athletes.
